Jazz was part of a rescue mission and he found the blinded and lone survivor, Tracks. Before they could be extracted their transport was destroyed by the Predacons. Jazz then formulated a strategy and single handedly took on and defeated 6 Predacons (with a little help from Tracks after much pep talk). They were then picked up by a second extraction team.
